Who are we and what do we do?

We are students who live in KaWo 1 and support the Studierendenwerk Aachen in re-occupying free rooms in the dormitory, all the wile representing the interests of the current residents.

Together with the residents, we try to create a harmonious climate in the hallways and the dorm as a whole.

If you would like to move into KaWo 1, register at the applicant portal of the Studierendenwerk Aachen and fill out the application as completely as possible.

We will contact you as soon as you are considered for a free room.


Frequently asked questions

It means that our dorm consists out of floor with 15 people. Five people share one kitchen, bath and shower.
The waitinglist number is a rough indicator about how many people applied before you. The lower this number is, the higher are your chances to be seen by us and in consequence to may be offered a room. Since the suitabilitie for each room varies with external factors, your waitingtime can be between two months or two years.

The rooms are aprox. 12 m² big, depending on the position on the floor. They include a sink, a desk, a cabinet and a wardrobe. You will need to bring your own bed, curtains and chair.

The rooms are ~12 m² in size and have their own wash basin including mirror. The exact floor plan varies depending on the position in the corridor. The rent is 258€ per month, including heating and electricity costs. Curtains, attachable window shades or blinds as well as a bed are to be brought by yourself or are rather recommended. A desk, a wardrobe and a bookshelf are already in the room.

Currently, the consultation takes place only with hygiene measures. So wear a medical mask and bring your own writing utensil if necessary!

We are there for you every Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the BA room of KaWo 1 (house 2; upper basement). There we can discuss all matters personally.
